Hunter Lindquist
Hunter joined the Kansas Federal Defender in 2022. Before that, she was an assistant public defender in the State of Missouri. Hunter earned an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Kansas and graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2021. During law school, Hunter gained experience in federal, state, juvenile, and appellate public defense work.
To this position, she brings her lived experience as a breaker of generational cycles of substance abuse, poverty, and physical, mental, and sexual trauma. She is interested in better understanding the links between PTSD, substance use disorders, and the criminal legal system.
Outside of work, Hunter enjoys watching football and reality television when she isn’t tending to her small herd of cats and dogs.
