Training

The Kansas Federal Public Defender is pleased to host a variety of training programs throughout the year for federal defenders, state defenders, private criminal-defense counsel, investigators, paralegals, and others. In addition to providing fresh perspectives on important legal issues from local and national practitioners, our programs are routinely approved for CLE credit in both Kansas and Missouri.

If you would like to suggest or present a topic at a future training program, please contact CJA Resource Counsel Jim Pratt at Jim_Pratt@fd.org.

National Webinars and Seminars

There are some great free national seminars and webinars available for Federal Defenders and CJA counsel. A full list of seminars---some remote and some in-person---can be found at www.fd.org.

If you are on the panel and would like your attendance at one of these national seminars to count toward your annual six-hour CLE requirement for panel membership, please send an email with the seminar topic, date, sponsoring agency, and number of CLE credits to dana_burton@fd.org.
