Sheri Gravenmier

Sheri joined the Kansas Federal Public Defender's Office in 2026, bringing with her 32 years of experience in the legal field, having served in roles as a legal secretary, legal assistant, and paralegal. She earned two Associate's degrees in Legal Secretary and Word Processing Specialist from Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan, and went on to earn an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from Wichita State University.

Throughout her career, Sheri has demonstrated a deep and enduring passion for the legal field, always seeking opportunities to grow and expand her knowledge. She was an active member of Wichita Legal Professionals for 12 years, serving in numerous chair and board positions, including President. She currently serves on the board of a local improvement district in her community.

Outside of work, Sheri enjoys reading, attending live theater and music performances, gardening, preserving food, and exploring farmers' markets. She is also a dedicated supporter of charitable causes in her community and loves spending time on walks and playing with her dogs.
